BRAHMANBARIA

Brahmanbaria is a district in east-central Bangladesh. It literally means the place where Brahmins reside. It is a part of the Chittagong Division.

Area:  1, 927. 11  km2 (744. 06  sq mi)

Upzilas: Brahmanbaria Sadar Upazila, Ashuganj Upazila, Nasirnagar Upazila, Nabinagar Upazila, Sarail Upazila, Shahbazpur Town, Kasba Upazila, Akhaura Upazila, Bancharampur Upazila, Bijoynagar Upazila.

Places: The principal places of interest in the district are : Deity of Shiva at Kal Bhairab Temple at Medda, Jame Mosque of Sarail, Shrine of Kella Shahid at Kharampur, Tofael-Azam Memorial Tower at the City Centre etc.
